One of the greatest honours a Canadian individual can be bestrode with is ‘The Order of Canada’. The Order of Canada is award by the Governor General and recognizes outstanding achievements and lifetime contributions by people in all sectors of Canadian society, including artists, business people, scientists, educators and community workers.
On February 8th, 2005, Mr. Fred Horgan was appointed by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, to the Order of Canada for his service to Sport and Sport Officiating. The CABO executive along with members thoughout Canada would like to congratulate Fred on his appointment.
