Roger Caulfield (Nova Scotia) is seen pictured above moments after officiating his final FIBA game in Halifax at the Tournament of the America's World Qualifier this past August. During the tournament a dinner was held in honour of Roger's career attended by many local Nova Scotia referee's including President, Jon Hunt, Roger's twin brother Reggie and many other special guests from the basketball community worldwide. Several presentations were made to Roger and special appearances were also made by National Team Head Coach, Jay Triano and longtime St of X coach and former National Team Head Coach Steve Konchalski.
Steve Foxcroft (Ontario) was assigned as stand-by on Roger's last game and said it was an honour. Roger then presented Steve with his game jersey for him to wear in future FIBA assignments. His charity did not stop there as he also gave a gift of his warm up jacket to a Brazilian official who could not afford to have his own. It should also be noted that Roger let his last game go into overtime!!!! Talk about officiating right to the end.
